  Location was very close to Parliament Hill and other major attractions, lots of restaurants close by. A/c in our room was cold which is a plus for me.

  This is one of the older hotels and parking was very limited. You'll have to let the front desk know that you will need in and out privileges.

  The hotel staff is very courteous and welcoming. The location is great. Walking distance to all there is to see and experience in Ottawa. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

  Location. Rates

  You need to upgrade your "suites". Have you pulled out the pull out couch ever? I know they will never be perfect but this mattress was ripped and tired looking. Our third family member was to use the pull out and it was so decrepit he had to take another room...

  Great location - walking distance to the Byward market, parliament hill and the National gallery. The room with two queen beds was spacious and accommodated a full twin bed that was rolled into the room when we asked for a cot (we're a family of 5). The room had a full balcony overlooking Albert street below. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with free wi-fi whic was available throughout the hotel.

  There was an odd smell in the hall way that faintly resembled burnt toast. Parking is a bit of a challenge as the hotel parking lot is relatively small with limited spots but the bell hops are also car jockeys and cram as many vehicles that will fit into the lot even if they're not in designated spots. You can have your car valet parked only until 11pm after which you have to find a spot yourself (which can be a challenge as the lot is usually quite full and crammed by that time). I had to park on a side street for one night due to the lot being full.

  The kitchen was OK. We could make breakfast our-selves

  The room smelled of pasta. The carpet was not clean. The sofabed was uncomfortable. The bathroom did not have a window to open after 4 people had taken a shower.

  Proximity to Points of interest, notable National Arts Center for us

  Old looking building, large crack in surface of bathtub. On site restaurant not actually open for dinner but not told this (in fact menu in rooms specifically gives dinner hours and even dinner menu). When we went down to eat dinner before going to the show - restaurant closed with sign on door indicating it is only for breakfast and lunch.

  Refrigerator would be useful. Parking is a mess and relatively expensive - we recomend to look around for other parking options.

  Bathroom looks 1960'S. A/c looks and sounds 1970'S. Colour scheme in corridors appalling.
